This course is designed to offer the student a basic understanding of word processing concepts. Topics include creating and editing documents, saving and retrieving files, document formatting and text enhancements.

Students are instructed in intermediate features of Microsoft Word for Windows. Topics covered in this course include mail merge, paragraph formatting and indentation, tabs, borders and shading, tables, newspaper-style columns and headers and footers. Utilities such as find and replace, and managing repetitive tasks using autocorrect, autotext and autoformat are also covered.
This course covers the advanced features of Microsoft Word. Topics of instruction include Styles and Advanced style features, advanced mail merge, templates, tracking changes, outlines and graphics. Master documents, Field Codes, Table of Contents, Table of Authorities, Indexes, and Macros are also covered. |
